Delicious walnuts are good for health, but tinctures with them are not a treat, but a highly effective medicine that can be easily made with your own hands.

And knowing what it helps from, you can become a practically healthy person.

What is special about walnut tincture

The majestic (up to 26 m in height) Greek walnut trees are able to live and bear fruit for up to three hundred years. In past centuries, the most expensive furs and rare wines were replaced with fruit nucleoli, and today their composition is being studied in the largest scientific laboratories in the world.

But specifically for the preparation of tinctures, milk ripeness nuts are valuable (they are collected in May-June). With a green skin, soft (pierced by a toothpick) fruits inside resemble dense white jelly and have an incredibly tart, complex taste (but they are fabulously good in jam).

The composition of ripe and "green" nuts is in many respects similar, but the latter has its own peculiarities, in particular - all its details are in active interaction and are highly bioavailable. And especially worth noting the following of them:

• ascorbic acid - enhances the effect of vitamin E present in the body, participates in the "binding" and elimination of toxic substances;

• carotene - ensures the smooth operation of the heart muscle and supports eye health;

• iodine - walnuts saturated with it in any ripeness and form are considered one of the best products (along with seafood) for the thyroid gland, and therefore for the entire endocrine (hormonal) system, so nuts can be recommended even for the treatment of infertility;

• tannins - with insufficient blood coagulability - prevent the risk of bleeding;

• fatty acids (Omega-3) - block oxygen starvation of tissues, contribute to the destruction of parasites in the human body and are indispensable for the process of self-cleaning of the liver (one of the most rapidly wearing organs);

• cobalt - required for the production of enzymes, in combination with iron (which is also abundant in these nuts) ensures a healthy state of the bone marrow.

The juglone deserves special mention - a rare substance underlies the coloring properties of green nuts, but more valuable properties:

• activate the body's defenses even in conditions of severe depletion (for example, after chemotherapy, major surgery, anorexia). In particular, the risk of fungal infections of the skin and infection with antibiotic-resistant strains of influenza viruses is reduced;

• as an antioxidant, inhibit the activity of free radicals (defective molecules that take away electrons from ordinary molecules), which entails a person to premature aging and cancer;

• suppress acute and sluggish chronic inflammatory processes in the internal organs, associated, as a rule, with a violation of their blood supply or overgrowth of tissues.

In what other cases will the walnut tincture benefit?

A simple intake of tincture is accompanied by an improvement in the condition of the oral cavity, including:

• treatment of chronic bleeding gums;

• healing of various lesions of its mucosa (for example, with stomatitis).

Plus, a highly diluted tincture is recommended to deliberately gargle with angina.

This tool should be prescribed for the prevention and treatment of iron deficiency anemia, and also used to reduce blood glucose levels, stimulate the production of insulin (and increase sensitivity to it).

Healing drinks from young walnuts quickly help with problems with the digestive tract:

• diarrhea;

• loss of appetite;

• stomach pain after eating;

• gastritis;

• prick.

Using tincture inside and / or using it for compresses (insulated with a woolen cloth) and rubbing, you can significantly improve the condition (relieve pain and regain mobility) for various pathologies of joints and muscles, including those that develop with age and due to active sports.

Soon after the start of taking tinctures, you can notice such positive changes as increased stress resistance and increased performance, intellectual abilities.

Simple recipes for walnut tinctures

In recipes for tinctures from walnuts, you can use vodka or alcohol, but the latter is strictly not higher than 70%, otherwise the biologically active components of the main ingredient will simply be destroyed. But vodka without harm can be replaced with high-quality moonshine.

The preparation of tinctures according to the most modest recipe can be represented as follows:

• Cut 16 walnuts into quarters and put in a jar;

• pour 1 liter of vodka;

• close the jar with a lid and put it in a cool place for 2-4 weeks;

• when infused - strain.

To enhance the healing qualities (and a little bit - to enrich the taste), at the very beginning you can add a spoonful of honey and / or a bouquet of medicinal herbs to the jar (for example, chamomile, lemon balm, mint).

The tincture recipe with alcohol and vodka at the same time is more difficult:

• Cut 800 g of nuts into quarters, fill them with a jar;

• pour 350 g of sugar on nuts in a mixture with 0.5 tsp. vanillin (natural!);

• tightly close the container with a lid, shake and put in a dark place for 7 days;

• at the end of the period pour 450 ml of vodka and 250 ml of alcohol;

• close again and remove to insist 3 weeks, periodically shaking;

• after readiness - strain and store in the refrigerator.

You can improve the taste of tincture (and make it suitable for those for whom alcohol is contraindicated) according to the following recipe:

• chop (better - scrolling in a meat grinder) 500 g of green nuts;

• mix nuts with 500 g of granulated sugar or with 500 g of honey (or take both of 250 g);

• Fill a jar of suitable size with a mixture of dark glass (or you can wrap it in newspaper) and place in a cool place for 1 month;

• sometimes shake and, since the syrup is formed quickly, you can start to use it already from 21 days of aging (and you must strain it).

Non-alcoholic recipes for tinctures can be continued with the following option:

• 400 g of green nuts to scroll through a meat grinder;

• squeeze juice from 2 ripe lemons and combine it with juice from 2 leaves of aloe;

• add a glass of honey to nuts, previously squeezed juices and put everything in a jar;

• set it aside for 7 days, then strain the syrup.

The maximum iodine content is distinguished by partitions of ripe nuts, so that you can prepare tincture from them too, which requires:

• 2 tbsp. l pour the chopped (knife) partitions into a jar;

• pour 200 ml of vodka and shake the mixture, stirring;

• remove the container in a dark place for a period of 3 weeks and during this time do not shake it anymore;

• if ready to strain.

Suitable for tinctures and shells of walnuts, for example, according to this recipe:

• put in a jar well washed under running water shells from a dozen nuts;

• pour 500 ml of vodka;

• remove the container under the lid and insist for 2 weeks without shaking;

• strain into a clean container and store in the refrigerator.

All such nut tinctures are supposed to be taken strictly half an hour or an hour before meals, firstly, for better absorption, and secondly, to mitigate the theoretical somewhat aggressive effect of some elements of their composition on the digestive tract.

Who Should Not Take Walnut Tincture

Greek tincture is no different in potential properties of the allergen from any other product from it, so it is definitely contraindicated in case of individual intolerance to nuts.

Regardless of the presence of alcohol in these nut tinctures, they should not be taken if:

• exacerbation of gastric ulcer;

• increased blood coagulability;

• adrenal gland diseases;

• chronic skin diseases;

• renal failure;

• intolerance to iodine preparations.

During periods of pregnancy and breastfeeding, it is necessary to refuse only from alcoholic tinctures, others are allowed, but better - under the supervision of a doctor.
