American scientists have found: during a diet or starvation, a compound is produced in the human body that can block part of the immune system associated with Alzheimer's disease, atherosclerosis, and type II diabetes.

It turned out that a special substance in human blood suppresses proteins - inflammasomes, which initiate the launch of the inflammatory reaction that forms when cells come into contact with pathogens - the sources of various auto-inflammatory diseases. Doctors say that this substance is produced during fasting and a strict diet.
