The unimaginable beauty of Eastern women is admired by people from all over the vast planet. Their whole secret, in fact, lies in the fact that they possess unknown knowledge of beauty that is passed on from one generation to another.

Only girls of the east can seduce only with their eyes, only they can pass so gracefully that no man can resist, only their skin is so smooth and velvety to the touch that one cannot help but admire. This article will slightly open the veil in front of you, and you will learn about one of the most effective ways to remove hairs - shugaring, which came to us from the countries of the distant and mysterious East.

What is shugaring

Shugaring is a procedure for removing excess vegetation on the body with the help of a syrup that is made from sugar and several other components. This type of hair removal is so simple and safe that any woman will cope with it effortlessly by preparing sugar mixture at home.

Nefertiti herself preferred shugaring. In ancient Egypt, it was considered the highest shame if the body has at least some vegetation, because the body of animals and barbarians is covered with hair. Not only men, but also women even shaved their heads to get rid of evil spirits (this is how hair was called). It was unsuitable for decent Egyptians to have hairs anywhere.

There is some evidence that this is how hair was removed from a woman’s body and in the territory of Ancient Russia. And in Tunisia, shugaring turned into a real ritual that every girl must go through before getting married. Locals call this process sugar purification, and it is believed that if you ignore such a seemingly ridiculous ritual, a woman will not be happy all her life, because her husband will not consider her sexual and will never want to touch her.

Types of shugaring

Shugaring has a huge variety of features. There are many ways how to prepare the sugar mixture for this procedure, therefore, there are several techniques of shugaring, which are somewhat similar, but also have a number of differences. It is better, of course, if you have the opportunity to test each of the techniques below to understand which one is right for you.

Manual shugaring technique It consists of applying a small lump of paste on the skin and removing it along with unnecessary hairs with the help of hands alone. Take a lump of sugar mixture and smear on the area on the body that you want to epilate. Before applying the lump on the surface of the skin should be slightly stretched so that it becomes warm, soft and smear the paste was not so difficult.

Manual equipment with application practically does not differ from simple manual equipment. The difference is only in one thing - the sugar paste will need to be left on the body for a few minutes so that it dries out and it is easier to rip off. Manual shugaring with application is already done with several lumps of hot sugar mixture. You can use from two pieces to six.

Banding technology provides for the removal of unwanted vegetation from the body using tissue strips that fall on top of the sugar paste and stick to it. This technique of shugaring is most used, because the paste is much easier to unstick from the skin.

Is it possible to make shugaring at home?

Yes, of course, you can perform this procedure at home. But it will be a big plus if, after all, a professional will make you at least once a shugaring. In this case, you will be able to closely follow all stages of the procedure and you will already know exactly what is being done and how. While you are reading the instructions on how to do a shugaring correctly, it may seem to you that everything is clear and in practice it is easy to repeat. But this is not at all the case. That is why it will be good if all the details of the procedure and preparation for it are told by the person who has already done this.

Preparing for shugaring at home

If you have already carefully weighed all the pros and cons and have decided that you want to try shugaring at home, here are some tips that will be useful to you for proper preparation for the procedure:

• by all means follow the recipe, because if your sugar paste turns out to be too liquid or, on the contrary, it is too thick, you simply won’t be able to work with it normally, and it will either harden every half a minute, or will not want to roll into lumps and will simply drain on your hands, making it impossible to continue the procedure;

• make sure that in the room where you are going to hold a shugaring, the optimum air temperature, because if it is too cold or too hot, the paste consistency will change, since it depends on it;

• in order to make a shugaring, it is not necessary to wait until the hairs become too long, on the contrary, if their length is more than 5 mm, this will bring you inconvenience and additional pain while tearing sugar from the skin, therefore, if you want avoid this, then trim a little hair with scissors;

• if at one time you want to remove excess hair from the whole body, be sure to ensure that the place to which you are going to move does not have time to sweat or become wet due to excessive fat secretion of the skin, therefore it is better to put a dry towel near you and wipe their skin from time to time;

• before tearing off the strip of sugar paste from the skin, the skin should be tightly stretched, because then the pain will be significantly reduced and the risk that after the procedure traces will remain and hematomas will appear;

• In no case can you leave the finished sugar mixture in the fridge or any other cool place because the paste will suck up and you simply cannot work with it, but if this happens, do not despair, because in the end you will have a sugar scrub which has a positive effect on skin cells, if applied and left for a few minutes;

• if you decided to use a professional mixture for homemade shugaring, then when choosing it, pay attention not only to the manufacturer, but also to some features, because one paste requires periodic heating before applying to the skin, and the other does not, so read the information on the label before than using pasta;

• there are many recipes for shugaring pastes, so before giving preference to one of them, find out what density paste you will get as a result, because for different places you need to use a sugar mixture of different density, if you want to achieve a really good result;

• Before the procedure, it is better to take a shower and wash the skin with a gel, but do not use a washcloth, because if you rub too hard, redness and microscopic cracks will appear on the skin, which will make the already painful procedure even more painful;

• if you know that you do not tolerate pain well, then before shugaring, it is better to take a pain pill so that the pain does not seem so sharp to you;

• it is undesirable that the hairs are too long, but if they are very short, then this is also bad, because then it will be impossible to capture them and in a few days you will have to redo the shugaring again.

Shugaring paste - buy or make yourself?

This question cannot be answered if only because all people are different and each of us has our own view of a particular situation. If you don’t have any special problems with money, then don’t waste precious time, and feel free to go to the store to buy ready-made pasta, which is immediately ready for use. Only here, there is one "but" - at home you make your own pasta and you can say with absolute certainty what exactly is included in its composition, but with the store paste it will not work this way. Carefully read all data on the label and application rules. If everything suits you and doubts about something do not slip, feel free to buy.

But, unfortunately, not everyone can afford to go to a specialist or purchase a paste for shugaring. If so, then you should not be upset. For the first time with the preparation of the mixture, some problems may arise, but this is absolutely normal. The more you practice it, the better you will get. One piece of advice: it is better to wash the saucepan in which you were preparing the mixture for shugaring right away, and not to leave it for later, otherwise you would not be able to wash it off no matter how hard you try.

What is better - wax or shugaring?

On this issue, women's opinions differ. It all depends on your personal requirements, preferences and what kind of result you want to achieve in the end.

Epilation with wax has been familiar to everyone for many years, but such a method of removing unwanted vegetation as shugaring became known in our area not so long ago. So it turned out that many wax epilation specialists switched to shugaring and began to praise him to all their clients. In fact, it is impossible to say with precision that shugaring is better, but most of those who have tried both methods of getting rid of hairs, say that it was shugaring that they liked more.

Sugar hair removal is good because after it almost never grows hair under the skin, as it happens all the time after waxing. When shugaring excluded cases of breaking the hairs and incomplete removal. Sugar paste penetrates directly into the hair fulculus and captures every hair, even the thinnest.

During waxing on the most sensitive parts of the body, small burns sometimes appear. After the shugaring procedure, you will have no trace if you do everything right. Sugar paste is heated only up to 37 degrees, so when applying you can feel only pleasant warmth, which does not cause unpleasant sensations.

Regarding which method is more painful, you can only say that it depends on your individual characteristics. Some people tolerate pain well, others do not, so you should try both methods of hair removal to determine which one you like.

Shugaring with citric acid

Before you give preference to the recipe for shugaring paste with citric acid, you should make sure that you will not have any allergies to it. Just test the paste on a small area of skin.

To make the paste you need 2 tablespoons of water, 4 tablespoons of sugar and 1 teaspoon of citric acid. Mix all these ingredients and put on a small fire. When the mixture boils well, start stirring it and make sure that it does not stick. Pasta is ready when it can be rolled into a ball, and it does not spread at the same time.

Shugaring of legs and arms at home

Take some pasta in your hand and roll it into a ball. Remember it a bit to warm up. Now spread it over the part of your leg or hand that you will first epilate. It is necessary to apply the paste against the growth of hairs, and it is necessary to tear in the opposite direction.

Remove the paste from the skin in one sharp motion. In order not to be too painful, it is better to tighten the skin a little with your free hand. One lump of paste can be used many times until it is all in the hair.

The process of epilation will not be very painful on your feet, and the skin on your hands will be more sensitive, so if you endure the pain poorly, then it is better to drink a painkiller pill before shugaring.

Shugaring bikini and deep bikini at home

For reference: shugaring a bikini is hair removal where it would be visible from under the clothes, and a shugaring deep bikini is hair removal on the pubis and on the inside of the thighs.

It is worth noting that in these places the skin is most sensitive, so the procedure will be accompanied by some unpleasant and painful sensations. Shugaring a bikini area will take about 20 minutes, while shugaring a deep bikini will, unfortunately, have to spend more time. In general, the procedure is not very different from shugaring legs.

Shugaring underarms at home

In order to make shugaring on the armpits, take very small lumps of pasta and epilify in stages in small areas to reduce pain. Do not forget that the armpit hair grows up, so a lump of paste should be rolled to the bottom, and plucked to the top.

If you are doing this procedure for the first time, then tune in immediately to the fact that it will be painful and take a lot of time, because the hair follicles are still very strong and you will have to try to destroy them. The more often you will do shugaring of the armpits, the easier it will be to pass.

After shugaring

After the procedure is over, it is necessary to wash the skin with warm water and wipe dry. If you have redness after shugaring, then apply the usual aftershave cream to the skin. It will relieve inflammation and in a few minutes the redness will disappear.

Shugaring is a great effective way to say goodbye to unwanted vegetation on the body. Try to do everything as correctly as possible and, clearly, you will be satisfied with the result.
