If you regularly include avocados in your diet, you can improve not only the quality of your diet, but also many health indicators, say researchers from the American company Nutrition Impact.

After analyzing the nutrition of 17,567 adults over a seven-year period that spanned 2001-2008, scientists received evidence that avocados improve metabolism in the body. 2% of the study participants (347 people) ate half of medium-sized avocados daily. In addition, in their diets these people generally had more healthy components: dietary fiber, healthy fats, and less carbohydrates and sugar.

It has also been observed that regular consumption of avocados has a beneficial effect on weight. The problem of overweight avocado lovers did not arise. They on average weighed 3.6 kg less than those who did not pay attention to this fruit, and could boast of a thinner waist (on average 5 cm narrower).

Avocados are rich in monounsaturated fats, which help to avoid the development of heart disease. In previous studies, it was found that the likelihood of contracting coronary heart disease decreases by 19%, it is only necessary to increase the consumption of monounsaturated fat by only 5%.

Despite the fact that there is no evidence of a causal relationship, researchers still believe that avocados play an important role in nutrition and reduce the likelihood of developing a metabolic syndrome.
