In Western Europe, broccoli for many decades occupies a worthy place among garden crops. And this is not surprising, since cabbage contains many essential substances for health. The constant use of broccoli dishes mobilizes the immune system, has a beneficial effect on vision, makes the skeleton bones stronger, strengthens the heart muscle. And the aging process is slower.

That is why broccoli is very popular in the cuisines of many peoples of our planet. So the Italians cook their pasta and calzone with her, the French - the most delicious mashed soup, the British - the closed cake, and the Chinese stew the cabbage with slices of garlic.

In any dish, the vegetable is healthy and nutritious. But broccoli cooked in a slow cooker will retain absolutely all its nutrients and an attractive green color.

This is a great appetizer for side dishes, such as meat, potatoes, pasta or spaghetti.

Broccoli in a slow cooker - general principles of cooking

A head of fresh broccoli consists of small inflorescences. They are separated with a sharp knife.

To improve the taste of cabbage is boiled in boiling water for several minutes. One teaspoon of salt and half a teaspoon of citric acid (per one and a half liters of liquid) is added to the water.

Then broccoli is placed on a sieve and dipped in ice water. After such a cold bath, you can continue cooking.

Frozen broccoli is left for a few minutes in a colander to allow glass to moisture. It is no less useful than fresh, and is just as suitable for preparing many dishes.

Prepared cabbage is prepared in accordance with the recipe in the "Baking", "Frying", "Steaming" mode.

Sour cream, mustard, butter, garlic, cream, bread crumbs are added to the dish.

Broccoli goes well with cauliflower, carrots and onions.

Decorates the taste of dishes with broccoli cooked in a slow cooker, oregano, sage, rosemary, nutmeg and marjoram.

Recipe 1. Broccoli in a slow cooker with sour cream

The finished dish is tender, with a light creamy aftertaste and the aroma of fresh vegetables.

Ingredients:

• 400 gr. broccoli;

• two tablespoons of Art. sunflower and sour cream oils;

• two pinches of salt;

• ½ teaspoon tea seasoning.

Cooking method:

We fill the bottom of the multicooker bowl with sunflower oil.

We load the prepared broccoli and fry in the Baking program for five minutes.

Gently turn the vegetables. We turn on the previous program for another five minutes.

Then add sour cream to broccoli. Salt, sprinkle with seasoning and mix thoroughly.

Cooking broccoli in a slow cooker will take another eight minutes in the Baking program.

We spread the dish on a plate and serve with a well-fried piece of veal.

Recipe 2. Broccoli in a slow cooker under bread crumbs

Breadcrumbs form a delicate crust on the finished dish, which helps preserve broccoli's juiciness and rich taste.

Ingredients:

• one kg of broccoli;

• one onion;

• 50 gr. butter;

• one stalk of green garlic;

• 200 ml cream;

• 300 gr. bread crumbs;

• three tablespoons of art. Dijon mustard;

• ½ teaspoon of mustard seeds;

• half a liter of water;

• salt;

• 100 gr. hard cheese.

Cooking method:

Fill the slow cooker with water, add a little salt and load the broccoli.

For seven minutes we turn on the "Cooking" mode.

Boiled broccoli unload in a plate, drain the water.

Cut the young garlic and onion into small pieces.

We set the slow cooker to the "Frying" mode, the time is fifteen minutes.

Melt butter in a bowl of a kitchen unit and pour chopped pieces of onion and garlic. Stir the vegetables with constant stirring until soft.

Season the onion and garlic with mustard seeds, and after a minute - with two tablespoons of Dijon mustard.

Mix, add bread crumbs. We fry the contents of the multicooker until the end of the set time (approximately eight minutes).

Unload the toasted bread crumbs in a separate container for cooling.

In chilled broccoli, add a tablespoon of mustard and cream. Mix so that each inflorescence is covered with a fill.

We transfer broccoli to the bowl of the multicooker.

Grate the cheese. Put a tablespoon of broccoli and stir the inflorescences.

Add the remaining cheese to the breadcrumbs, mix everything and pour on the cabbage.

In the "Baking" mode, prepare the dish for half an hour.

Recipe 3. Broccoli in a slow cooker with garlic

Garlic is able to create not only a pleasant taste, but also a smell that cannot be eliminated. Therefore, the dish is suitable only for dinner. Or you can cook it on a day off.

Ingredients:

• 600 gr. fresh broccoli;

• two tbsp. tablespoons of olive oil;

• three garlic cloves;

• water;

• salt;

• ground black pepper.

Cooking method:

We divide broccoli into inflorescences.

Pour water into the multicooker, add a pinch of salt and start the "Cooking" mode.

Dip broccoli in boiling water and cook for five minutes. Then dip the cabbage in a cold liquid and put on a sieve.

Peel and finely chop the garlic.

We remove the slow cooker from the water in which broccoli was cooked.

Pour oil into the bowl of the kitchen unit and start the "Frying" mode for three minutes.

Throw garlic and fry it, not forgetting to stir constantly.

Using a slotted spoon, remove the pieces from the multicooker.

We send the broccoli kitchen helper to the bowl. Mix it with garlic oil.

Cooking in the "Frying" mode for three minutes.

Add previously removed pieces of garlic, salt, pepper. Mix everything and fry the dish for another minute.

Put the finished dish on a plate and do not leave it for later, but immediately eat it.

Recipe 4. Steamed broccoli in a slow cooker with cheese sauce

Tasty and original dish, which is better to eat hot. We do not add salt, since it is abundant in processed cheese.

Ingredients:

• 300 gr. broccoli cabbage;

• processed cheese;

• 40 gr. cream.

Cooking method:

Fill the multicooker bowl with water, start the "Steam cooking" program.

Pieces of broccoli are laid out on a special container designed for steaming.

As soon as the water boils, load the dish with the cabbage. We cook in the specified program for seven minutes.

We unload broccoli, put it on a colander. When the cabbage cools down - we shift the inflorescences on a plate.

The bowl of the multicooker is freed from the water and set the "Frying" mode.

We rub the processed cheese and melt it in the slow cooker for a minute.

Pour the cream and prepare the sauce until the cheese is completely dissolved. Stir the mixture continuously.

Pour broccoli in the cooked sauce cooked in a slow cooker for a couple.

Recipe 5. Broccoli in a slow cooker breaded

The finished dish is covered with a thin and fragrant crust. It is tasty and light.

Ingredients:

• 400 gr. broccoli;

• two eggs;

• three tbsp. tablespoons of flour;

• pepper and salt;

• one teaspoon of dried herbs.

Cooking method:

Prepared broccoli salt and pepper.

Break eggs and shatter. Add dried herbs.

Each broccoli inflorescence is dipped first in the egg, and then rolled in flour.

We send the cabbage into the bowl of the kitchen unit.

We start the "Baking" mode and wait a few minutes until the kitchen assistant warms up.

Install the program for half an hour. Turn the pieces of broccoli periodically to make them brown on all sides.

Recipe 6. Broccoli in a slow cooker for a couple "Friendly company"

We cook cabbage together with other vegetables. The dish is saturated with a variety of tastes and just melts in your mouth. The food is very simple to cook.

Ingredients:

• 200 gr. broccoli;

• 100 gr. carrots;

• 50 gr. cauliflower.

• 300 ml of water;

• salt and pepper;

• 1/3 teaspoon of caraway seeds and oregano.

Cooking method:

Pour water into the multicooker. Set the container for steaming in the bowl.

Cut vegetables into medium sized pieces. Pour salt and pepper to taste.

We put cumin and oregano. Mix and leave for a few minutes.

We place the vegetables in the container of the multicooker.

We start the mode "Steaming" for a quarter of an hour.

The prepared dish is aromatic and mouth-watering. It will successfully complement spaghetti or rice.

Recipe 7. Steamed broccoli in a slow cooker with spicy sauce

Steamed broccoli with spicy sauce has a rich and vibrant flavor.

Ingredients:

• one kg of broccoli;

• three cloves of garlic;

• half a lemon;

• four tbsp. tablespoons of olive oil;

• one hot chili pepper;

• three tbsp. tablespoons of soy sauce;

• salt and a mixture of allspice.

Cooking method:

Prepared inflorescences of broccoli pepper, salt and mix. We load into the container of the multicooker.

We pour five measured glasses of water into the cup of the kitchen assistant.

Cooking in the "Steam" mode for seven minutes.

Unload broccoli in a deep plate.

Pour olive oil into the multicooker bowl. Select the "Frying" mode.

Finely chop the garlic and toss it in warmed oil.

Squeeze lemon juice and add slices of chili pepper.

Constantly stir the ingredients and pour the soy sauce in a minute.

Pepper, salt and pour the dressing into pieces of broccoli.

Slow cooked broccoli - tips and tricks

  • Cut broccoli from the head where the inflorescence ends.

  • After treatment, boiling water should be lowered into water with pieces of ice. Then it will retain its beneficial properties and color. Properly cooked broccoli is tender, but remains crispy.

  • Garlic should be fried in moderation, otherwise it will be bitter.

  • Steamed broccoli in a slow cooker contains very few calories, so it is indispensable in most diets.

  • In various recipes, cabbage combines well with most spices.

  • When steaming broccoli, you need to fill the container no more than 2/3. Otherwise, the top layer of cabbage may not boil enough.

  • Thicker pieces should be placed on the bottom of the container, and thin and small pieces on top.

  • Broccoli cooked in a multicooker can be frozen and used in another recipe, for example, for cooking casseroles.

  • It should be noted that frozen broccoli retains its nutritional qualities for no more than a year.

  • If the cabbage has been lying in the refrigerator for too long and slightly hardened, you need to cut a piece of the cob and put the head in water. After an hour or two, broccoli will regain its fresh appearance.
