Scientists: childhood obesity leads to irreversible brain changes

Scientists from the United States established an association between obesity and impaired human cognitive functions. Such conclusions allowed to make an analysis of the results of the study, the participants of which were obese children.

As it turned out, children suffering from overweight, much more often than their more skinny compatriots, have difficulty finding errors in mathematical problems.

According to scientists, these violations are due to changes in certain areas of the cerebral cortex and, in general, its electrical activity.
